The 2015 Industry Connections series will focus on perspectives from people working in industry and how they successfully transitioned to these positions.

The speaker will give a short presentation and then open the topic up for Q & A. Please be willing to participate in the discussion. This event is for a limited number of postdocs and a light lunch will be provided.

This month will feature Paula Soto, Ph.D., Sr. Medical Writer at Meriduis Health Communications, who will discuss "Medical Writing".

Speaker Bio

Paula Soto received her PhD in Molecular Pathology from the University of California San Diego in 2008. Her thesis focused on identifying factors important for the establishment and maintenance of HIV-1 latency in CD4 T cells. She continued to focus on HIV-1 during her postdoctoral training, investigating the role of immune activation and regulation in HIV-1 infection of human and chimpanzee primary CD4 T cells. In 2013 Paula joined Meridius Health Communications, a dynamic health communications agency that manages and executes all aspects of medical education.
